Selected from 45,000 employees for unique and unprecedented leadership skills to affect collaborative change and raise safety records throughout Flight Operations Department, in the cockpit, between pilots and crew-members, and with financial and maintenance departments. Selected to collaborate with NASA to design and manage innovative safety initiative, overcoming traditional organizational barriers, resulting in a “zero hull loss” standard. Managed training curriculum and instructed over 15,000 employees in winning communication practices to ensure safety.
Commanded over 18,000 hours of international and domestic flights. Pilot in Command and type- rated in Boeing 737, 757, 767 and Airbus 319, 320, 321, 330 aircraft, maintaining 100% safety record. Communicated a coherent plan for cultural change and achieved critical buy-in as the Assistant Director of Communications post 9/11, during Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) program development.
